I’m a Sheffield-based photographer celebrating the beauty of our connection to nature and the wild.
Hello, I’m Jess—a nature photographer, wildcrafter, and passionate guide to deepening connections with the natural world.
My photography journey began with an analogue film camera, capturing the essence of people’s stories. Over time, my focus shifted to the intricate details of the natural world, especially plants and wild edibles. What began as a creative outlet has now evolved into a deeper practice of connecting people to nature through photography.
Today, I offer guided photography workshops that intertwine the art of capturing nature with the practice of foraging. Together, we observe wild food and plant life, learning what’s in season and how to forage responsibly—all while refining photography skills. I also provide family photography sessions out in nature, capturing authentic moments surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. Additionally, I’ve created e-books for budding photographers, offering insights into botanical photography, and curated a collection of botanical prints that celebrate the wonders of nature.
With a background in photography, art, teaching, and natural remedies, I now live in North Sheffield with my family, nestled close to the Peak District. You’ll often find me exploring its peaks, tending to my allotment, or diving into a good book about wild adventures.
Join me in celebrating the stories that nature has to offer—whether through the lens of a camera or the simple joy of foraging and connecting with the earth.
