A Photo Walkshop with Jess Petrie (beginners)
I am so very pleased to announce that I will be running a fun outdoor photo Walkshop on Saturday the 24th October 2015.
A small number of us nature (and photo-taking) lovers will be heading out into the beautiful Peak District with flasks filled, a pocket full of hearty snacks and wearing shoes fit for walking.
This ‘Walkshop’ is aimed at beginners in photography and to those who really want to learn how to take better photos in general. It is limited to a hand-full of walkers so that you get the most out of the time we have together as a group and individually.
In just under 4 hours you will learn how to use your digital SLR camera in manual and gain an understanding around the basics of digital photography. While walking through one of the most beautiful parts of the Peak District you will learn about composition through photographing a variety of subjects from flora to the wild-life, landscapes etc… I will be covering techniques on photographing different things so you’ll learn about your camera and how to use it properly in different situations; how to control the main elements that affect exposure (ISO, shutter speed and aperture) and easy practices and tips on how to compose stunning photographs. With an emphasis on less jargon and more fun, this will be a practical and active workshop in a friendly environment that concentrates on improving your camera skills.
Equipment needed: A digital SLR camera with a standard zoom lens/fixed lens or bridge camera with manual mode.
Hope to see you there!
