“Jess is more that just a wedding photographer; she’s an artist who captures the special memories of your day, she’s unassuming, discreet, professional and above all totally committed to you and your guests. Jess is a master in her craft; planning shoots ahead of your day, arriving at the venue just before your agreed time, finding different locations, ideal spots and romantic scenery in which to capture you as your day unfolds. Her approach puts you at ease, her personality lifts you and the magical way in which she moves around your ceremony, guests, venue and surroundings will leave you wondering how she captured those rare, unique moments in time, long after the camera stops clicking. We never saw Jess with the camera in anyone’s face, we almost forgot she was there! The moments she has captured however are pure art and an everlasting memory on film. I couldn’t have asked for more in a photographer; she’s not pushy, not salesy, not traditional (unless you want that) and doesn’t use technical computer whizz kits to improve or touch up your photographs; its all about location and pure natural light; a true master with a camera. If you are looking for wedding photos that capture those unique moments; your guests looking on lovingly, the tears that spring as you take your vows, the evening dance moves and the laughter that follows, then you need Jess in your life. If you want everyone staring at a camera forcing smiles as the list of group shots rolls on and on, then look elsewhere….Jess in an artist as well as a photographer….anyone can point and shoot a camera…but only Jess can turn it into art. Thank you for being ‘awesome’ Jess. With love Scott & Hayley Reeves” The Devonshire Fell, Burnsall, Saturday 29th March 2014
“Dear Jess, thank you so much for all of your support, wise words, reassurance, inspiration and generally making it all feel so relaxed! You captured our day so beautifully and made it look way too easy :) You have such talent!! We have had so many lovely comments about our photos and that is down to your love and dedication, thank you!! Love Emma + Michael xx ”
“We are so happy we chose Jess to capture our wedding as she did a superb job! The engagement shoot we did at our wedding venue really put us at ease in her company and resulted in some wonderful, artistic pictures that showed us how talented she is and what a great eye she has. During the wedding day itself Jess and Rodrigo were very unobtrusive but took some lovely candid shots during the dinner and as the guests were mingling. The pictures of us together by ourselves were beautiful and really romantic. They were just what we wanted and will be taking pride of place in our house! Looking back at the photos of us both getting ready and during the ceremony brings back everything we felt on the day and makes us feel quite emotional. Thanks so much Jess!”

“Jess – thank you so much for our wonderful wedding photographs. All of our family and friends continue to be blown away by how unique and stunning they are and how perfectly you captured the spirit of our day. You fit in so well and really made us feel at ease, like we have known you forever! We really couldn’t of asked for more. Our favourites are the ones of us sat in the deckchairs, and the ones on the beach and in the sea, and the ones dancing… In fact, I could go on! Many will be framed with pride in our home until we are old and wrinkly, and looked back on throughout our life together, which is a wonderful thing. You have an amazing natural gift and ability to capture stunning and creative images and make it look easy. The relationship you have with your camera is strong and innate, and you clearly know just how to work with the light, play with your locations and understand your subjects in any circumstance, to get the most out of any photographic opportunity. And yet, it feels that it goes beyond your camera, to your understanding of people, relationships and capturing beautiful moments. So once again, thank you a million times, we will be back for family portraits in the future!”

Hey Jess. Our pictures arrived on Friday and I have spent ALL weekend looking at them, sharing them and copying them. It has brought our wedding day to life again! Moments that you captured would have been lost and never been spoken about. Your pictures tell the story, gently and with romance. They then make us laugh, get emotional and then we look all over again. I’m very proud of them and am really really grateful for everything you did. You let the day flow naturally and that shows in the images. Everyone loves them and they really are to be treasured. I love love love them. Well done you – amazeballs

“Out of 5 different photography companies I choose Jess because from the very first phone call she put me so at ease, her pleasant chilled out personally – almost like an instant friend, listening and understanding our needs. She has this open friendly attitude, and is a very hands-on girl. Her work was amazing, natural shots, and fantastic imagination captured our wedding perfectly. Jess admitted from the start she had never covered a chinese wedding, she took interest in our culture so she could understand our rituals to ensure she knew what was important to us, throughout our big day, she stayed in the background, focusing on her work, and she so delivered, she made sure she knew exactly what was required from her so while she was photographing, we would not feel anxious and felt totally natural. My husband is very shy, and he was very comfortable around Jess. We totally loved her and would recommend her to friends and family in the future.”

“I work in PR and come across photographers daily. Jess was a breath of fresh air and really took the time to get to know us. She even did a pre shoot for us in Lake Como to get us comfortable with her and her style. The result was amazing and she really captured our personalities and instinctively knew who and what was important. There were no hidden extras…she gave us what she promised and more.”

”I had been contemplating a boudoir shoot for a while, but had previously dismissed them as too posed or smutty – page three girl I am not! Chris thought it would be a good idea to do one also to boost my confidence a bit before the wedding, as I’m not too comfortable being centre of attention and he thought it was a good way to be able to see what he sees in me and make me look forwards to the wedding a lbit more. I’d worked with Jess before and loved the photographs she took of me, so when she said she did boudoir pictures I jumped at the chance of doing a shoot with her. I’m not going to look like this forever and thought that if anyone was taking my pictures in underwear, it was going to be Jess! I knew her signature style to be soft and relaxed, and she was so friendly she put me at ease straight away. She loves to use natural light rather than a flash so not only was I able to forget the camera was there, it didn’t feel like a photoshoot and the pictures look so original and instinctive. I knew I could trust Jess to make me look my best, I’d quite like the pictures in an album now to keep forever not only for Chris but for myself too. I am so very proud of the pictures, and my fiancé loves them so much he’s even debating a job change to stay closer to home! I love that now I can say I did it and I think I look pretty good in them! Praise must be given to Jess too – she is such a fantastic photographer, not only does she completely understand her subjects and make them feel at ease, but she creates pieces of art at the same time. I’m pretty sure that takes incredible talent. ”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Jess on a number of occasions now, and she really is amazing! She has an artistic and creative eye with her own signature style which really makes her work stand out from the crowd. She is reliable, a fast worker and highly conscientious. On top of all this Jess is just lovely, a kind soul and an amazing person. I have only great things to say about Jess and her work and would highly recommend her.”

“Jess was our wedding photographer for our wedding on the 31st of August 2013. Right from meeting Jess on our pre-wedding shoot she made us feel comfortable and we had some fantastic photos which definitely made us feel more relaxed on the day itself. We really liked her calm and unobtrusive manner, we got the family shots that you would expect, but the creative shots that only Jess seems to be able to see which were absolutely amazing.
Thank you Jess and your partner, we would recommend you to everyone!
Best wishes for your creative future.”

…I could go on forever and still not find as many ways as you deserve to say THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for everything! For being the most amazing photographer, being a good friend and confidante, being great company, being so genuine, being reliable and punctual, getting on with everyone so well, bringing the lovely Rodrigo as you second shooter and so many other things. You captured our emotions on the day so elegantly, and we can truly relive the moments by looking at our gallery of photos. On top of capturing the emotions we felt on the day you have also captured the beautiful emotions of our friends and family we may have otherwise missed. I just cannot recommend you enough. My friends would all like to book you for their weddings ..they just need to find their spouses now. Your pictures have made me not regret the few things I was not happy with on the day because it all came together and was so much fun exactly as it was. I can’t believe how you managed to capture so much, I kept thinking ‘ It’s a shame Jess missed that part of the wedding’ until I saw the gallery and you did actually capture those things! That is how discreet you were and how well you understood and knew what Davood and I wanted.”

Jess’ photographs have great humanity, energy and life in them. They tell the stories of people, landscapes and places with a genuinely fresh and non-judgemental eye.

We recently celebrated our 14th Wedding anniversary and couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day than having a professional photo shoot. The photographer ‘Jess’ was not at all how I expected. I always imagine that photographers are bossy and intimidating but Jess was easy going, professional and very positive. She has a calm & soothing temperament which made us both feel totally relaxed and confident. Above all we enjoyed spending time together on this shoot. It felt exciting & new and we have decided to make the effort to do more together since. After all more mature couples can still have fun, right? I love the photos from the shoot, in fact I am overwhelmed & overjoyed at how glam I look and how lovely they have all turned out. Jess definitely exceeded our expectations. I’d like to make a valid point… you mostly see photoshoots in the bridal mags and wedding blogs of young couples all loved up. And to treat yourself to a ‘couple’ shoot doesn’t mean you have to be young and newly in-love. I think it’s so much fun that if you are celebrating an anniversary or your love for one another there isn’t a better way to have an excuse to dress up, get pampered and document your day more than having a photoshoot! I want to see more mature couples indulging in this sort of thing, and would most definitely recommend it 100%. We now have some new memories documented… We are so very pleased. Thanks Jess!

Jess photographed our wedding in September 2011 as well as a ‘pre-wedding shoot’ the summer before. She is undoubtedly a very talented photographer with an eye for detail and contemporary shots. She was prompt, professional and a pleasure to have around on the day and we are very grateful to her for providing us with such beautiful images of our special day. The photo booth at the evening reception was great fun and a big hit with the guests. We received many compliments on our photographs and some said they were the most beautiful wedding photographs they had ever seen. We would definitely recommend her services and skills.

Jessica’s ability to capture the smallest details from the props to the smallest of items that made the wedding so unique has ensured that we will forever have a collection of photographs that will remind us of our amazing day. Jess is able to be completely professional, but is yet utterly relaxed which really helps the couple at such a nervous time. She brings a uniqueness that we feel is not available elsewhere. The presentation of the photographs are amazing. We love our slideshow, the story book (which is less about posing and more about the story of the day), and the disc set. We will be forever grateful to Jessica for giving us a perfect collection of this unforgettable day.

JESSICA JESSICA JESSICA… Do you remeber how stressed I was before my actual wedding day? I was in Istanbul, Turkey, and my husband to-be was in England! You were with me every step of the way. You flew out to Istanbul (Jan 2011) a few days before my wedding day. You came with me to my dress fitting, my Haman (turkish bath party), my home of the morning of the wedding & the hair dressers, and most importantly every minuite throught my big day. You are amazing, talented, creative, artistic and this reflects in your photographs. You shared my excitment, stress and happiness. When I look as these photos now I relive all the same feelings again. To capture all this is more than words can say. Than you… my friend.
~ Tugba & Andy, January 2011, Istanbul, turkey.
You are so lucky to be able to share and capture people’s special moments and what you do is beautiful. You make people smile and cry tears of joy with your work. I almost cried when I saw the picture you took of Niamah, my daughter, it truly took my breath away. It must feel so rewarding x

It was my 30th birthday and it was a year full of continuing changes & surprises. Mostly due to having a gorgeous 14 month old baby boy. So I was wondering how to mark this momentous occasion. I realised that I had lots of pictures of my delightful little son, but none of me with him. So that was it, my mind was made up & for my birthday I wanted a mummy and son photo-shoot. Now here lies the problem… I have a total phobia about having my pictures taken. I know Jess and as a fan of her work and knowing what a genuinely lovely person she is I was absolutely delighted that she was free to do it. And what a great day it turned out to be. Despite the occasional summer showers we had a great day in my favorite park in Leeds. My little angel was his usual charming self pulling all kinds of crazy faces and Jess making me laugh and directing me with where was best to look and coming up with so many great ideas for the shots; from Noah walking amongst the ducks, to the both of us reading stories on a picnic blanket and playing with raindrops on trees. To be honest, being such a photo phobic, I was a bit nervous when waiting to see the faults in the photos themselves but I had absolutely nothing to worry about. They are stunning! I was so pleased with them I couldn’t decide which one to frame, so I had a frame made to hold them all! There are also pictures of Noah hanging in family member’s homes and desks at work. To say I am pleased with the photographs is a huge understatement. So if you were to ask if I would recommend Jess for your photographic requirements, my reply would be YES! Without a doubt xx
