You

are the poem

I never knew

how to write

and this life

is the story

I have always

wanted

to tell

~ Tyler Khott Gregson

Jess & Chris married at Upper House Hayfield Peak District in late October.  It was a cold but sunny October day, and Upper House is a gem of a wedding Venue (with the most welcoming and friendly owners), it’s literally tucked away and off the grid, I was certain we were heading in the wrong direction when trying to find it.

This day was so relaxed from the start, when we arrived I headed to the bridal suite to document the girls, and Rodrigo caught up with the groomsmen and we all came together for the wedding ceremony.

Jess is such a beauty with a great sense of style, and she looked so glam and Hollywood on her wedding day, she reminded me of a young Marilyn Manroe.  Her gorgeous beaming smile just lit up the whole venue and warmed everyone’s hearts, including ours.  Getting to know both Jess and Chris has been an absolute honour, and being asked to document their special day has been a greater honour. We knew from the initial meeting at their pre wedding session up Mam Tor that Jess and Chris were pretty cool, and we had similar tastes, and a shared love of the Peak District, it was a perfect match.

And we have to mention the big bass band who played all night at the wedding reception/party, these guys totally rocked!

Thank you for having us as you wedding photographers :)

Dear Jess & Rod, we just wanted to send you a little note to express our huge thanks again for our beautiful wedding photos!  You guys were so great and went above and beyond for us – so thank you so much!  We adore the photos and will treasure them forever xx

It was a great pleasure for us to be the wedding photographers for Jen & Giles’ Heathy Lea wedding.  They had such a beautiful day – and after a morning of downpour the clouds started to break and the sun began to shine as Jen left to the Church.  On the journey from the Church to the venue we had a little cheeky stop off at one of Jen & Giles’ favourite spots out in the Peak District.  They had a bit of ‘alone time’ here whilst we created some stunning portraits of them both.  This wedding really was lot of fun, these guys really know how to throw a party and everyone was on the dance floor having a great time – they were still rocking away when we were leaving!  Thanks for choosing us to document your special day, and we love the ‘thank you card’ xoxo

A Peak District elopement Derbyshire Wedding Photography

A Peak District elopement Derbyshire Wedding Photography.  When Sophie and Matt decided to get married they knew from the start that they wanted something relaxed, intimate and fun.  They also had a serious case of itchy feet, so when they were finally able to take a month off to fulfil their long-held dream of travelling around Australia they decided to combine the trip with a small and very secret wedding.  They got hitched on the shores of Sydney Harbour opposite the Opera House, on Halloween (their 9th anniversary) before celebrating with two friends who were in on the secret, plenty of bubbles and dinner overlooking Bondi beach.  They were still on a high when they got back to winter in the North. They hadn’t had a professional photographer on the day, so when they got back they contacted me and I was delighted at the fact they wanted a styled-shoot of just the two of them with pretty lilacs and lavender florals in the snow up on Surprise View in the National Peak District, Derbyshire.  Working alongside my Sheffield wedding industry friends, together we created a bit of magic for Sophie and Matt.
