Sky Edge

I willingly accepted the ask of a contemporary theatre company, in Bradford, if I would take some snaps on Sky Edge, in Sheffield,  for two days.

I have been in Sheffield just over a year and had never heard of Sky Edge before, and boy have we been missing out.

The views from up there are breath-taking!

The Theatre company, Freedom Studios, is producing a performance based around the people and landscape of Sky Edge and they needed some photos for promotional material and to use in the production.

I have to say it wasn’t like work.  I got to talk to the locals, chill in the sunshine, and I even held a fan-tail… and of course heard many fascinating stories and felt completely honoured to be part of this project.

I cannot wait to see the production and I am so thrilled to be part of it.

Below are some of my favourites, enjoy xx

Beautiful, thank you all xx

Love, love, love!!!! The birdies one would look great hanging on my living room wall!! ;-)

I LOVE these so much. The birds bring so much movement to a landscape shot. I want a copy too – A massive one that covers an entire wall. :D

Jess these images are really beautiful! I love looking at sheffield from that side of the city. I used to work near there and used to love walking back down towards the city centre, its also great at night when all the city is lit up! Skye Edge has some interesting stories about it in Sheffield history x

You’ve done it again Jess .. these are just glorious! What does an ardent fan have to do to get copies ??????? Brilliant you are!
