Emma & Owen… A Mythical Romance

Looking at these pictures I get a feel of Victorian Gothic Vs Vampire romantic, with added Mythical romance.  These photographs are very special, full of love & emotion & their personalities.  I felt their love for each other whilst in their company.  It was intense! In a very cuuuute way!

When Owen and Emma got in-touch about having a couple shoot (post-wedding), I was over the moon!  I have known Owen for a year and have seen some of Emma’s amazing oil paintings… This couple have style, vision, are both artists, and I knew it would totally rock!

Owen had recently seen some of my work with couples who were already married and who wanted to either celebrate a wedding anniversary or get some personal photos together due to not having a professional wedding photographer.  So as this is what both Emma & Owen also lacked amongst their wedding pictures, they wanted to grab this opportunity with all four hands.

Paula & Joe

Paula was one of my competition winners late last year.  We had arranged to do the shoot this spring, although the weather hasn’t represented spring lately.  Despite this we had a whole lotta fun, in the heart of the Peak District.  We even had Joe join us (Paula’s doggie… awww).

Paula was really thrilled that she won the photo-shoot via a competition on Facebook, but felt a bit unsure about being in front of the camera.  This was the 1st time Paula has had any pro-photos taken.  I asked Paula to wear what she felt comfortable in and to bring any extra hats, scarfs, accessories etc…

Paula and myself have been communicating via phone & email since the win so we have got quite familiar with one-another, which will of also helped with any pre-nerves Paula may of had.  When we met up on the day of the shoot we took a leisurely walk to find a spot whilst chatting.  All through the photo-shoot Paula & I were talking & laughing (especially at Joe), and I feel I really captured Paula’s true self.  I love these set of photos.  You cannot beat natural emotion, and definitely cannot re-create it.  I love them, and I’m so pleased Paula has now got a beautiful collection of pro-photographs to cherish.
